A rapidly growing online marketing agency is looking for a bright, energetic intern to join its Search Engine Optimization (SEO) department. Business has been good for us (we saw significant revenue growth last year, even in this economy), and we are looking for ambitious people who can add value to our clients’ business.
We are offering this internship to college students and recent graduates who are interested in the online media landscape and want real, hands-on experience in an online marketing agency. The best part is that you get to work remotely and meet with your supervisor in NYC once a week for coffee!
Because you will be allowed to work remotely, we are very particular about the fact that the intern must be very hard working and a self-starter. You must also be a very savvy internet user with an interest in social media because some of your work will involve social media sites.
Job Responsibilities - SEO Intern
• Assist with keyword research using various tools
• Assist in development of link building campaigns, research of link targets and communication (Email / Phone)
• Assist in development of monthly SEO reports
• Copywriting for websites as needed
• Assist in technical website analysis
• Development and execution of social media strategies and tactics especially using Twitter, YouTube and Facebook
• Assist in tracking and analysis of campaign performance using ranking tracking tools, Google Analytics, e.t.c.
• SEO research as needed
Qualifications:
* Hard working and detail oriented
* Problem solving skills
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Ability to collaborate as a team as well as to work independently
* Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Marketing / Communications majors preferred
Compensation / Hours:
This internship pays $8/hour, and the candidate must be able to devote 20 hours a week to their work.
